Winter, Champlain, NY |
I did not expect to have many opportunities for a random act of kindness today. The roads are covered with snow and the air is cold. Most people are not going to venture out in these conditions, but I had to go to the grocery store, so I bundled up and drove slowly there. The supermarket was nearly deserted as I had thought it would be; however, performing an RAK was quickly accomplished. A couple examining various types of squash thanked me for advice about the type to buy. Noticing several common items on sale, I grabbed a few to donate to the Food Shelf box on the way out of the store. Finally, I found a few dollars at the bottom of my purse and gave them to the young hockey players who were ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. Three little deeds, but they will all be appreciated by someone in time.
