The Strand Theater, Plattsburgh, NY |
This act of kindness was performed late last night, but I am going to share it with you today because it is so touching. My husband and I attended a fabulous concert yesterday evening featuring a restored Wurlitzer organ played by an exceptionally talented local young man. It was a powerful experience, the kind that you feel with all your senses. We took our time leaving the theater, visiting with friends and acquaintances, and then we headed towards our car which was parked a couple of blocks away. As we crossed one street, we came upon a woman who was very confused and disoriented. She said that she had just left the concert which had had a strong effect on her and now couldn't find her car. She knew it was near a church, but was totally turned around. She was upset, nervous, and embarrassed, but I reassured her that we would help her, and we walked with her for a few blocks until she recognized where she needed to go. At that point, she thanked us and crossed the street to her vehicle. It seems that we were simply there at the right time to help with another small RAK.
