Estes Park, Colorado |
The leaves have fallen; the corn has been harvested, and the apples picked from the trees. Winter is approaching which means there will be less available for the birds to eat. The Canada geese are flying south, but there are plenty of other birds that remain around here, so today I loaded our little red barn bird feeder with some chow. The pleasure is twofold, of course. We can watch cardinals, blue jays, and sparrows among others while our feathered friends enjoy a meal. What a joy to have nature right outside the window on those snowy mornings.
