| Little Free Library Open for Reading AND Writing |
My little library standing next to the sidewalk in front of my house has been quite successful since we put it up last summer. Books disappear, and new ones are placed inside frequently. This effort is to promote reading, but why couldn't it be used to encourage writing? So today, I placed pencils, pens, and small notepads in amidst the books. Maybe next week I will add some notecards and envelopes to see if I can start a writing campaign. Who knows, maybe I will get a few letters or perhaps one of you will, too. Written communication beyond a text message isn't a bad idea.
