Performer With a Firm Grasp of Music |
My village is small, old, quiet, and slow. I can see from photos of the past that it used to be filled with activity and bustle, but today it has lost its spark. To rekindle that spirit, last year I organized a concert in the park which was very well attended. The second annual concert took place tonight, and with the help of my choral director colleague, the park was filled with all genres of music. I watched in amazement as drums, guitars, keyboards, and sheet music were pulled from the vehicles. The trailer arrived and was transformed into a spacious stage.. Their enthusiasm was contagious; I was thrilled to have planted the little seed of a beautiful evening of music performed by talented local people beside the calm river in this normally sedate community.
Janet,
ReplyDeleteHe was thrilled and honored to be part of your blog! The first thing he did was look at the computer this morning to see if you posted it!
You have been a very positive role model for Chris - a huge part of his school life. Thank you for the impact you have made on his life.

It is always a pleasure to work with bright, motivated students like your son. Plus, his dry sense of humor is an added bonus!
